1. I can only accept shoes to be dyed with a completed disclaimer/order form.
2. Please include fabric swatch or similar item (stating which side to be matched) if the fabric is shot please state to which colour to match to.
3. Depending on light source shoes are viewed under, they can look different in tone especially reds and browns. We dye under daylight conditions.
4. Please be aware that there is a difference between fabrics and so your shoes will differ slightly from the garment being matched to it this means on occasion shoes will look lighter if a garment is really dark in colour. We endeavour to match shoes as closely as we possibly can.
5. Customers must allow ten working days from receipt of order to expect their shoes to be returned.
6. Please note that hand dyed shoes are not colourfast. We recommend that if you wish to protect them against moisture, use a waterproof protector such as scotch guard, this can be applied before wearing, to help prevent the colour running if worn in the rain or damp weather. Excess moisture may cause the dye to pass through onto the foot. *Please note once waterproofing has been applied the shoes cannot be reduced (e.g. re-dyed black as an evening shoe).
7. Silk shoes will often show some colour variations and may not be suitable due to the slub and weaving effects within material. Bindings, trims and laces may also vary slightly from the main shoe fabric.
8. The dyeing process cannot cover up scuffing or stains to the shoe fabric, however it may be possible for us to clean the shoes before dyeing.
9. All shoes required for dyeing the same colour as part of a party should all be sent together to ensure the shoes all match.
10. We recommend the customer buys dyeable brands as supplied by most wedding/dance shops. High street brands are very problematic and usually can’t be dyed. To achieve paler shades when dyeing high street brands is less of a problem than darker ones. The customer will also have to refund our postage if we cannot dye the shoes.
