DYABLE BRANDS

.................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Your shoes/handbags need to be 100% silk content in order for them to dye properly (if an item is labelled as satin this does Not mean the item is made of silk it could well be an acrylic) unless you are willing to take a risk and accept the item might not dye, then we recommend you buy your items from a wedding, dance shop or from a shop that sells the shoes and handbags as dyeable. Please see list below for dyeable makes. If your shoes aren’t listed give us a ring to check if they are ok to dye.

High Street Dyeable Brands
Next (cherished range) are the only make of Shoes and Handbags that I know to be dyeable at present.

Warning Shoes in general purchased from non wedding shops (high street fashion stores) tend to have acrylic in the shoe fabric this results in the dye colour being a lot lighter on these shoes and so only very very light shades can be achieved (light pastel) also the shoes can look mottled and have a “tie dyed appearance,”
